Toby Ownby is a Co-Founder and the Designated Broker of Private House, where she helps guide the brokerage’s vision, standards, and growth while continuing to personally represent buyers and sellers. Her leadership role has expanded, but her commitment to her clients remains deeply hands-on. Known for her thoughtful, consultative approach, Toby takes time to understand each client’s goals, anticipate obstacles, and create a clear strategy for moving forward. Approximately 75% of her business comes from referrals and repeat clients—a reflection of the trust, care, and lasting relationships she brings to every transaction.

With an engineering degree from the University of Florida, Toby began her career in the corporate world before transitioning into sales and ultimately real estate. After living in five states and buying, renovating, and improving homes with her husband, Eric, real estate became a natural fit for her analytical mindset and genuine appreciation for what makes a house feel like home. She earned her Florida real estate license in 2012 and continued building her business after moving to Arizona in 2014. Outside of work, Toby values time with Eric, their daughters, Tomi and Sami, son-in-law Dylan, and their very social goldendoodle, Milo. She is also actively involved with NPHX Church and serves on the board of Life More Abundantly, reflecting her belief that her faith, home, family, and community are at the heart of everything she does.
